North of England Hair Awards
We Are Back In Blackpool
After an absence of a few years the hairdressing competitions return to Blackpool.
Barbers, hairstylists, junior and senior, will be competing against each other from around the country to gain the title of All England Ladies and Gents Hairdressing Champions.
Clipper Cuts, Colouring, Trendy, Brides, Edgy, Modern, Fantasy, there’s something for everyone, with 20 awards up for grabs.
Hairdressing and Barber competitions return to Blackpool on Monday 9th March 2026 at the Ballroom, 308 Park House Hotel, Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 2AH.
Everyone welcome from around the UK
The competitor with the highest combined total of points from comp 2 and comp 8 will be awarded the title of All England Mens Champion 2026, Junior & Senior.
The competitor with the highest combined total of points from comp 3 and comp 5 will be awarded the title of All England Ladies Champion 2026, Junior & Senior.
Individual competitions can be entered.

- Show us your clippering skills, all designs to be done on the floor.
- Create your look using only clippers Looking for best design/pattern on a male head

Hair-Up or Extensions Styling
- Sweep that hair up, any style, any method to an exciting night out on the town!
- Winner receives the Olga Scott’ Trophy
- 30 mins allowed
- Hair to be in rollers/ Pli/ wet ready for styling
- False hair allowed. 50% of styling to be done on floor

Barber of the Year
- Show us your barbering skills in this cut and blow styling competition
- 40 mins allowed
- Cut, Blow, Styling
- Hair must have some cut off on floor

Fantasy Hair Styling
- Fantasy Styling… anything goes
- Winner receives the ‘Dorothea English’ Trophy
- 15 mins allowed to finish your look
- Anything goes – come to the floor with model set
Competition No 10

Photographic Stylist of the Year
- Bring us your photographic picture of your model – ladies / gents
- Black & White or Colour
- Suitable for front cover of a magazine
- Photos to be 10″ x 8″
1st place in all competitions: Trophy, Diploma & Scissors.
2nd & 3rd place in all competitions: Diploma.
Entry fees – £10 juniors, £15 seniors per competition.
Spectators free.
